painters' lake house // veids

VEIDS is the concept of the path. the path is a relevant motif in our design. two families and two artists find space on the property. so that both can enjoy their private space, but also share the public spaces as needed. all volumes are lake view oriented so that they have a ideal view and terrace, which can also be used communally. the concept of the path also extends to the studio. each artist has a separate entrance to its private workspace. if necessary, the two symmetrical rooms can also be combined. the studio follows the principle of the double wall and stores all variable uses in it. thus, the space is free to be filled with the art and ideas of the respective artist.

the living house is the first to be reached from the main street, it has space to park your car in front of it and has a inside light orientation towards the lake. the painters workshop is set further in front of the lake in the first row. the workshop rooms have only one light source. a complete glass front to the lake. north light is ideal to work and paint. the new barn is directly next to the workshop rooms. part of it is under roof for wood storage.

Art and architecture - all the arts - do not have to exist in isolation.
