nautical micro museum // the baglietto experience
If the Italian boating is the pride of global seafaring, Baglietto is without any doubt the Italian shipyard par excellence. With its nearly 170-year glorious history of heroism, science, craftmanship and innovation, this shipyard has been fitting out the most desirable and renowned ships in the world. Today, Baglietto aims at showing such history to a heterogeneous public through a “traveling micro-museum”. Like a ship, this moving architecture will land on various destinations to tell its story to ship owners, visitors, and enthusiasts.
In the following we present you our competition concept for the Nautical Micro Museum - “The Baglietto Experience”..
The Baglietto Experience is based on the concept of a round tour. This tour is based on four stations: The history of Baglietto, from its origins to the present day, Baglietto‘s historical iconic models and the focus on the current production. These four stations tell the story of the company. Although the four cubes have different topics and respective tasks for the exhibition, they are arran- ged in such a way that they form a unit from the outside. In this design, it was important to show the high standard of Baglietto's quality, but also to transfer its unique style into the architecture. But what is important is that all parts of the story form a common, strong unit.
